My Own Paradise: Life on Seven and a Half Acres
Mmm… I’m not entirely sure about this one. A sort of lavender- grey I suppose, an unusual colour for a poppy. Maybe more suitable for a bedroom wall?
I can’t convince you then how beautiful it is . Maybe if you could see it in real life?
That is an amazing color.
It is amazing and gorgeous.
Wow!! It looks like the petals are made of paper😍😍😍
Amazing nature 🥰
Tissue paper perhaps,, or as other people have suggested, taffeta or silk.
Elegant
Yes elegant indeed, something a Victorian lady would wear.
I have been reading about this poppy somewhere Chloris and had made a note to send off for seeds to sow in September. It certainly looks as if there is much variety in both form and shades of grey. Most pretty indeed. Are you pleased with them?
I thoroughly recommend it, yes there is a great variety but they are all stunning. Everybody who sees it begs me for seeds,
Love it. Maybe gray flowers are becoming a “thing”? I grew a gray larkspur this year.
I’d like to see a grey larkspur,, were you pleased with it?
Are these new this year? I’ve seen several other gardeners with this beautiful color and I love them. I bought some hellebores in spring that were charcoal. Quite dramatic but you had me at poppies.
Yes, they are new this year, each one is a little different, some single, some double, but all gorgeous.
Big thumbs up from me!
All my garden visitors have fallen for it.
Amazing!
Yes, a good name, Amazing Grey.
Amazing – I’ve never seen that color!
It’s new to me too.
Wow, they are splendid!
Gorgeous aren’t they?
Absolutely!
On dirait un taffetas gorge-de-pigeon ! Beautiful !
Gorgeous!
It is a fabulous poppy.I’m glad you like it.
Une description parfaite! Taffeta or maybe silk. A friend said it reminded her of a faded Victorian silk camisole.
Yes ! I’d love a shirt like that !
I saw these seeds in the Chiltern catalogue, It is definitely one, I should have included within my shopping basket… Next year. The are stunning.
Oh wow, she sure is something else! Gorgeous!xxx
